The Royal Horticultural Society Garden Rosemoor is acclaimed by gardeners throughout the world, but you do not have to be a keen gardener to appreciate the beauty and diversity of Rosemoor. Whatever the season, the Garden is a unique and enchanting place that people return to time and time again.
Situated on the west-facing slopes of the beautiful Torridge Valley, Rosemoor has become one of the jewels in the West Country crown. Generously donated to the Society by Lady Anne Palmer in 1988, Rosemoor is now established as a Garden of national importance, famous for its variety and planting.
To Lady Anne's collection of rare and interesting plants a wide range of varied features have been added. They include a formal garden where the object is to show an enormous selection of plants and planting schemes, and a series of individual gardens such as the renowned Rose Gardens, Foliage Garden and the popular Cottage, Square and Spiral Gardens (for hot and cool colours respectively), and the Winter Garden with stunning effects in the colder months.
All this, a Lake, a bamboo and fern planted rock gulley, and Arboretum, three new Model Gardens, as well as a marvelous Fruit and Vegetable Garden make a visit to Rosemoor essential.
